For HD , it now uses two standards: • 720p means 1280×720 pixels progressive scan • 1080i means 1920×1080 pixels interlaced But what are the interlaced and progressive modes consequences on my shooting and rendering quality of my videos. Great news for the panasonic GH2 users ! The GH2 has been dumped by a russian guy called Vitaliy_Kiselev and he is trying do to reverse engineering. he explains it on his page. I do not understand everything but it means the following. – 25p and 1080/60p (since sensor is already capable of that) – Uncompressed HDMI output (and maybe even 10bit) and removal of interlacing bug to make compatible with Ninja, etc. – Higher AVCHD bitrates – See if [...]
